Disease (COPD) is a disease that makes it difficult to empty air out
of the lungs.
COPD includes emphysema, chronic bronchitis, and chronic asthma.
This difficulty emptying air out of the lungs (airflow obstruction)
can lead to shortness of breath or feeling tired due to increased
labored breathing. COPD is most commonly caused by cigarette
smoke but exposure to dust, chemicals and air pollutants can make
COPD worse.
Signs and symptoms

Shortness of breath
Cough
Mucus production
that does not go away
